Farm Talk: CSA Week 9

If you haven't already heard, the 2020 CSA is accepting registration! For those of you who missed the memo, it's time to snag a spot for next year's season. Within 48 hours, 12% of 2019 members have already joined – which is our strongest start ever. Remember, the earlier you sign up the more monthly installments you'll be able to make, so join now to get the maximum benefit. The new payment plan will run through August 2020 (the middle of the season), which means if you sign up now you'll have 13 months to pay off your membership. Every month that goes by without joining, monthly payments will increase as the number of possible installments decrease.

Now, back to our current season. So far we're looking at some awesome August weather coming up, perfect for tomatoes and melons. We're also working to prep fields for next year and curing next year's garlic seed, which will be planted in a few short weeks. We have a bit more sweet corn coming this week but we're heading into prime summer season with all kinds of squash, heirloom tomatoes, and peppers. Potatoes are looking good for mid-August and salad greens will return after a short break by the end of the month. Happy eating everyone!
