We had some much needed rain this week which really helped to cool things down. The speckled sauce tomatoes are thriving right now – if you're looking to make tomato sauce, now is definitely the time. Lots of other fresh tomatoes pouring in as well so help yourself and add extras to your CSA order while we're still in prime tomato season. The weather has been too toasty for greens but they'll be available again and included with your fresh produce box in just a few weeks, hang tight! We've had a huge turnover for spring/summer fields into the fall fields, plenty of empty ground for new crops. It's the last month of summer which is always a little sad but we're pretttty excited about the fresh fall veggies coming up. Until then let's enjoy the sweet tomatoes that are currently pouring in, all shapes and sizes.
